David Doré, Ed.D.

David Doré is President of Pima Community College Downtown Campus and Northwest Campus. He has served as Campus President at PCC since July of 2014. Prior to serving at PCC, David was an administrator with the Maricopa Community College District (Mesa Community College) and the San Francisco Community College District. David spent two decades as a faculty member at the secondary, community college, and university levels. He has served on the faculty of City College of San Francisco, St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, and Santa Clara University. A first-generation college student, David earned a doctorate from Pepperdine University, a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University, a Master of Education from Boston College, a Master of Theological Studies from Santa Clara University (JSTB), a Licentiate of Philosophy from Gonzaga University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Gannon University.

David is active in community service and has served on numerous community, local and national boards. He presently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Education Commission in Tucson, Arizona, and Chair of the Education Committee for the Marana Chamber of Commerce in Marana, Arizona. David also serves as a Commissioner for the American Association of Community College’s Commission on Workforce and Economic Development and the AACC’s Sustainability Taskforce. David lives in Tucson with his spouse (Chauncey Roach). They enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking in the beautiful southwest, and playing ball with their dog Riley.
