Falecia Williams, Ed.D.

Dr. Falecia D. Williams currently serves as President of the Downtown and West Campuses at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, one of the nation’s largest and most celebrated community colleges. Valencia is widely known for its academic excellence, deep faculty engagement, high rates of graduation, exceptional job placement rates, and outstanding partnerships within the community and industry.

Dr. Williams was recently tapped to lead Valencia’s collaborative efforts with the University of Central Florida that garnered state approval for a new campus in Downtown Orlando and will add the new campus to her portfolio of responsibilities. Her primary role is to lead the development and implementation of a unique, compelling campus vision that portends a defined emphasis on significant improvements in the quality and impact of the campus’ educational programs while empowering the community for long-term sustainability.

Dr. Williams has an extensive career in secondary and post-secondary education. She is a former teacher of varying exceptionalities and gifted education in the Lake County Public School System. During her tenure at Valencia, she served as a part-time faculty member, Program Director for Dual Enrollment, Director of College Transition Programs, Dean of Workforce Programs, Assistant Vice President for Workforce Education, and Interim Provost for West Campus. She is noted for leading the design and development of college’s germinal processes to build program pathways, create program learning outcomes for Associate of Science degrees, and to offer bachelor’s degrees. She continues to achieve remarkable outcomes in the areas of student success initiatives, program development, and community transformation.
