Rhonda Epper, Ph.D.

Rhonda M. Epper, Ph.D., is Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs at Community College of Denver. Previously she was Chief Academic/Student Affairs Officer at the Colorado Department of Higher Education where she engaged stakeholder councils of provosts, student affairs and admissions officers, and the statewide General Education transfer council. She served as regional director of the State Authorization Reciprocity initiative at WICHE; and was with the Colorado Community College System for 12 years in various roles, including Assistant Provost, where her responsibilities included major grant initiatives, curriculum management, statewide transfer/articulation, and research/planning for academic affairs. She also served as co-executive director of CCCOnline, a statewide online learning consortium serving 45,000 students annually. Her roles there included management of systemwide initiatives, such as the Learning Technology Council, Enterprise Learning Management System, 24/7 Help Desk, and Digital Textbook programs. Epper also served at the California State University, office of the Chancellor. She has served as a consultant to WCET, ECS, SREB, SHEEO, and the League for Innovation in the Community College. In 2012, she received the WCET Richard Jonson award for lifetime achievement and service to the eLearning community. Epper was a fellow with the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research and currently serves as a board member of NCHEMS.
