Vicky Wood, Ph.D.

Dr. Wood will begin her new role as president of Washington State Community College on July 1, 2017. She is currently serving as the provost and vice president of academic affairs and student services at Marion Technical College. She is passionate about student success and has over 18 years of higher education leadership experience.

Dr. Wood came through the faculty ranks and served as dean of business and information technology prior to her current position. She has demonstrated success in developing partnerships with business, industry, healthcare agencies, secondary, and post-secondary institutions to support workforce needs. She has developed entrepreneurial programs to advance student access and success.

Dr. Wood holds doctorate in higher education leadership from The University of Toledo, a masters in education from Bowling Green State University, a bachelors in education from Ashland University, and an associate in business from Marion Technical College. She currently resides in Marion with her husband, Rodney, and they have three children.
