Rebecca Estrada, M.A.

Rebecca serves as Executive Director of the Higher Education Center and Academic Partnerships. Her work focuses on expanding the college’s established relationships with partner universities and forming new agreements and articulations for programs at the Center. She also continues her previous work of directing the Dual Credit program.

As SFCC’s Director of Recruitment and Dual Credit Programs Rebecca oversaw the college’s outreach initiatives. The first in her family to attend college, she understands the value of a college education, and her passion is evident in her efforts to connect everyone she meets with a spirit toward educational achievement.

Rebecca has over 20 years of experience working with diverse populations in academic and professional settings. She has been with SFCC since 2005. As part of her responsibilities, she provides planning and direction to grow and sustain SFCC’s Dual Credit programs. Prior to joining SFCC, she served as the Program Assistant for the Significant Opportunities in Atmospheric Research and Science (SOARS) Program with the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research. She was also the undergraduate Research Advisor for the Biological Sciences Initiative, served as Program Coordinator for the Summer Multicultural Access to Research Training (SMART) Program, and was a Graduate School Professional Research Assistant, among other positions, at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

A Native New Mexican, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Women’s Studies with High Honors from New Mexico State University and a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
