Yash Morimoto, MPA

Yash loves data, people, strategic planning, and helping students succeed. Through his leadership, he has successfully developed a culture of evidence and strategic planning at Santa Fe Community College (SFCC). Thanks to the collaborative effort the institution has been able to double its graduation rates in three years and double the number of awards and certificate in five years. He also has an extensive experience in Higher Education budgeting both at the statewide and local level. At SFCC he has been member of the Financial Oversight Committee and participated in the budget planning process for several years.

He oversees the colleges’ strategic planning, institutional research, academic program reviews, learning assessments, accreditation, grants, and institutional review board functions.

Prior to joining the college in 2011, he worked at the New Mexico Higher Education Department providing data analysis, legislative policy reviews, and contributed to enhancing data sharing across the state’s college and university and K-12 public education systems.
