Sheri Rowland, Ed.D.

Dr. Sheri L. Rowland is a seasoned higher education professional in the areas of enrollment and student services with more than 24 years of experience. Her core competencies include student services, research, and project management. Her experience includes over 20 years in the Florida College System in a variety of positions. In 2008, she was named a NISOD Excellence Award recipient for her work in student affairs.

Dr. Rowland served over three years in the University of Georgia system working at an institution in the midst of consolidation and a SACSCOC level change. She served as the vice president for enrollment management and the assistant provost for student success until the spring of 2016.

In 2016, Dr. Rowland returned to Tallahassee Community College in Florida, where she presently serves as the vice president for student affairs, responsible for providing strategic leadership in the areas of admissions and records, career and academic advising, student services, athletics, international students, and enrollment call center. In addition, she serves in leadership roles with the Florida College System Council of Student Affairs, the college liaison for Achieving the Dream, and is a participant in Leadership Tallahassee. Sheri also serves as an on-site reviewer for the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Dr. Rowland earned a doctorate in higher education from Florida State University (2003), a master of arts in psychological counseling from Southeast Missouri State University (1992), and a bachelor of science in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University (1990).
