William Cathcart

Chris Cathcart serves as the vice chancellor of student success for Ivy Tech Community College Northeast in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As the college’s chief student officer, Cathcart works with faculty and staff to create success stories for all students past, present, and future. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Chris holds an MBA in strategy and finance from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree in adult and community education from Ball State University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Morehouse College. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in community college leadership from Ball State University. As a community leader, Chris serves as the co-chair for Fort Wayne United, a mayoral initiative that seeks to increase opportunities for men and boys of color to feel valued and appreciated as productive members of the Fort Wayne community. He also serves on the foundation board for AWS, an organization committed to supporting opportunities for the special needs community. Chris currently resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his wife, Kim, and two sons, Ronald (10) and Mason (9).
