Paige Niehaus

2022-23 Aspen New Presidents Fellow
Dr. Paige Niehaus is a passionate leader with 31 years of community college experience. In July 2021, she became the Dale Mabry Campus President for Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL. As president of HCC’s Dale Mabry Campus, she strives to lead with grace and compassion, supports HCC as a human-centered institution, and uses design thinking to understand and meet the needs of students, faculty, staff and the community.

Niehaus’ professional background includes a progression of leadership positions at Wayne County Community College District in Detroit, MI, including associate provost, provost, executive director, executive vice chancellor, and chief innovation officer.

Niehaus also served Joliet Junior College, in Illinois, in the roles of registration specialist, employment and training coordinator, workforce skills manager, workforce services manager, and director of workforce development.

Niehaus earned a doctorate in community college leadership from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, a master’s in training and development and a bachelor’s in applied organizational management from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. She is a proud community college graduate, having earned an associate of applied science and an associate in arts at Joliet Junior College.

Niehaus is an active servant leader in her community. She is a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Tampa. She was recently appointed to the HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital Board of Trustees, the West Tampa Chamber Board of Directors, and the City of Tampa’s Drew Park Community Redevelopment Agency Community Advisory Committee.

She lives in Tampa, FL, with her husband Gary.
