Soto served in the U.S. Marine Corps and coached with USA Baseball for four years; he was the head coach for the Junior National team in 2002.

Soto is a bold advocate for increasing college completion rates and closing equity gaps. All students should have equal access to complete a college education or a credential of value, he emphasizes. With a clear path and a little support, Soto believes we can ensure our students get a high-quality education that will help them live a productive and meaningful life. All of our community will share the benefits of their success.
