Marsha Gable

Dr. Marsha Gable has a deep commitment to social justice and the philosophy of community colleges which centers equity, access, and completion in serving students. Dr. Gable currently serves as the Vice President of Student Services at Grossmont College, and previously served as the Interim President at both Grossmont College and San Diego Miramar College.

Dr. Gable has a breadth of administrative experiences within Student Services at the California Community College level as well as the California State University (CSU) system, which include prior positions within Student Services include Dean of Counseling Services at Cuyamaca College, Associate Dean of Student Services at Santa Ana College, Associate Director of University Outreach Programs for CSU San Marcos, and Supervisor of TRIO Programs at Palomar College. Dr. Gable has also served as an adjunct faculty member at MiraCosta College, Mt. San Jacinto College, and CSU San Marcos teaching Sociology, First Year Studies, and Counseling, and is currently an adjunct faculty/lecturer for the Postsecondary Educational Leadership in Student Affairs master’s degree program at San Diego State University.

Dr. Gable is currently an Executive Board Member for the Chief Student Services Officer (CSSO) Association and continues as a peer reviewer for the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). As a transformational, learning leader, her vision for Student Services is to keep students at the core while centering equity to focus on ensuring holistic experiences for students and inclusive practices and services which lead to student success. Dr. Gable obtained her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Community College Leadership from San Diego State University and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from CSU San Marcos in Social Sciences and Sociological Practice.
