Beverly Clark III

Dr. Beverly Clark III is the Vice President of Academic Affairs/CAO at Red Rocks Community College. He has worked in higher education for twenty years as a professor, researcher, and administrator. Beverly is an advocate for equity and has diligently worked to create and support diverse and inclusive educational environments that provide access to all.

Before arriving at Red Rocks Community College, Beverly was Dean for the Academic Education Division at Central Community College in Nebraska from July 2018 through June 2021. From January 2013 through June 2018, Beverly served as Assistant and Associate (2016) Professor of Physics at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to teaching Physics, he performed research on the environmental impacts of microplastics. He has also completed published research which focused on microscopy techniques for measuring electronic properties of nanostructures like capacitance, surface charge and resistance. From May 2009 through August 2012, Beverly served as Director of Nanotechnology Education at Danville Community College in Virginia. While at DCC, he developed a National Science Foundation funded nanotechnology technician program including program curriculum and a nanoscience lab.

Beverly was a participant in the 2023 Executive Leadership Institute through the League for Innovation. In December 2023, he was selected to be a member of the Peer Corps and will start serving a two-year term as a Higher Learning Commission Peer Reviewer.

Beverly received a Ph.D. (2009) and M.S. (2003) from the department of Physics at North Carolina State University. He is a native of Java, Virginia and currently resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife Deremia. Beverly is a member of the National Society of Black Physicists and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
