Christine Davis

2024-25 Aspen Rising Presidents Fellow
Dr. Christine Davis’s professional experience in higher education spans over 20 years, with a progression of leadership opportunities in both public and private institutions including community colleges and 4-year universities. These two decades of experience in higher education has shaped Dr. Davis into a passionate leader and advocate for students. She is currently the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at St. Louis Community College (STLCC), where she champions access, engagement, and success for a diverse student body.

Dr. Davis's commitment to the community college mission stems from her own journey as a first-generation student. This unique perspective allows her to connect deeply with the students and families she serves. As co-chair of the college's Pathways to Success leadership team, she actively drives the transformation of the student experience, ensuring equitable opportunities and pathways to success for all.

Before joining STLCC, she was vice president for student affairs at Florida SouthWestern State College. She also served as associate vice president and dean of student services at Edison State College. Previously, she served as a transfer counselor at Broward Community College, as an academic advisor and program manager at Nova Southeastern University, and a recruiter/assistant director of admissions at Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Davis received her Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and her Master's in Adult and Community Education, and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology both from Florida Atlantic University. She actively engages in professional organizations, including the American Association of Community Colleges and The League for Innovation in the Community Colleges.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Davis finds joy in balancing her role as a mom to her daughter, Alyssa and spending quality time with her beloved beagle, Luna.
