Holly Hart

Dr. Holly French Hart is the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness at Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC). Dr. Hart holds a Doctor of Management in Community College Policy and Administration from the University of Maryland University College as well as an M.A. in English from Penn State University and an M.A. in English Education from Florida State University. With over twenty-six years of experience in higher education, she has led key initiatives to advance opportunities for students and examine College operations to identify areas needing improvement or re-imagining in response to student and community needs. In supporting the collective responsibility to advance student and institutional success, Dr. Hart has led teams across a multi-campus college and integrated non-credit and credit instruction to serve regional constituents more effectively.

Dr. Hart began her career in 1997 as a full-time English Instructor. In 2006, she became Dean of BPCC’s Liberal Arts Division, then advanced to the role of Associate Vice Chancellor before assuming her current role in 2022. Dr. Hart is a graduate of the Harvard Institute for Management and Leadership in Education, the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) Louisiana Leadership Academy, and the LCTCS Certified Workforce Developer program. She is a member of the AACC Commission on College Readiness. A proponent of service excellence for students, Dr. Hart is very involved in the accreditation process, serving as a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Arbitrator and as a frequent SACSCOC peer evaluator.

An avid arts supporter, Dr. Hart serves on the Greater Shreveport Chamber Board, Bossier Arts Council Board, and Shreveport Opera Board. In her spare time, she enjoys running, having completed two marathons and over twenty half marathons, and cheering for the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, and New Orleans Saints.
