Jamonica Rolle

2023-24 Aspen Rising Presidents Fellow
Dr. Jamonica Rolle is the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs at Broward College. In this role, she leads all academic degree programs and provides vision and support in the areas of academic policy, program planning, faculty development, and student success. Rolle also leads the college’s north campus where she facilitates an engaging and dynamic learning environment.

Rolle has more than 20 years of teaching and leadership experience. She believes that postsecondary education is one of the greatest tools for individual empowerment, economic growth, and community uplift. Rolle’s passion for higher education accessibility, student and faculty engagement, and workforce alignment has been demonstrated throughout her career. She has had success in a variety of positions including secondary teacher, professor, associate dean, college-wide pathway dean, campus academic dean, and vice provost.

Rolle earned a doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida, and a master's and bachelor’s degree in Communication from Florida Atlantic University. She serves locally as an officer on the board of directors for 211 Broward and on the board of directors for the Greater Pompano Beach and Coral Springs Coconut Creek chambers. She also serves nationally on the American Association of Community Colleges Commission for Student Success. In 2022, Rolle received a Light of the Community award from the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber.
