Dr. Jennifer V. Mezquita is the Provost at North Shore Community College where she is responsible for the Division of Student and Academic Success which is comprised of Enrollment Services, Academic and Student Development, Academic Affairs and the Registrar’s Office. She previously served as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Northern Essex Community College where she provided leadership and oversight of the programs, functions and services for Enrollment Services, PK12 Partnerships, Student Development, Registrar, Student Affairs Business Systems, and Compliance.

Prior to making Massachusetts her home state, Dr. Mezquita worked in California at College of the Desert Foundation, and in Florida at Valencia College Foundation, Valencia College and the University of Central Florida where she held leadership roles within alumni relations, student services, assessment, academic advising, and post-secondary transition programs. Dr. Mezquita has over 18 years of higher education experience and eight years of business and industry experience in banking and sales.

During her undergraduate college years, Dr. Mezquita developed a passion for breaking the barriers of access into higher education for underrepresented and underserved populations. This led her to pursue a career in higher education. She is a proud first-generation graduate of Valencia College, the University of Florida, and the University of Central Florida where she earned her Associate of Arts degree, Bachelor’s degree in Food and Resource Economics, Master’s degree in Educational Leadership: Student Personnel Administration, and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership: Higher Education and Policy Studies.
