Suzanne Harbin

Suzanne Harbin currently serves as the Vice President for Advancement and Innovation at Wallace State. In this role she serves as the president’s second in command, oversees all the external funding for the college, Center for Career and Workforce Development, Adult Education, WSCC Alumni Association, and serves as the executive director of the WSCC Future Foundation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and English, and a master’s degree in education, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.

She began her career in the community college system in 1991 with the TRIO program Talent Search. Over the last 31 years Wallace State has successfully secured over $80 million dollars in private, local, state, and federal funding, including a $10 million major gifts campaign that closed in 2019.

Harbin's commitment extends beyond WSCC to the community served by the college. She is actively involved in the community, serving on various boards and committees focused on education, economic development, workforce solutions and non-profits. Her service includes eighteen years on the Cullman City Schools Board of Education from 2001-2020, serving as board chairman eight year, the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce, and she is currently a member of the Cullman City Industrial Development Board.
