Tiffany Hernandez

Dr. Tiffany Hernandez is the Vice President for Student Success at San Antonio College. Her previous roles at San Antonio College include Dean for Student Success; Department Chairperson for the Public Policy and Service department overseeing the Criminal Justice, Political Science, Human Services, Court Reporting, and Public Administration programs; and as tenured faculty in the Criminal Justice program. As a member of the faculty and as department chair, Dr. Hernandez led colleagues and students in shared governance as president of the Faculty Senate, faculty advisor to the Student Government Association, and chairperson of the Alamo Colleges District Council of Chairs.

Dr. Hernandez’s collaborative leadership at San Antonio College contributed to the College receiving the 2021 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and the Seal of Exceléncia from Exceléncia in Education.

Dr. Hernandez also serves as San Antonio College’s accreditation liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges. Before coming to San Antonio College, Dr. Hernandez served as a Deputy County Attorney in the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Arizona. She is also a proud veteran, having served on active duty and as a reservist in the United States Air Force.

Dr. Hernandez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Language from the University of Arizona, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Texas State University.
