Heather Adams is the Associate Director of Transfer Engagement at the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, leading the Tracking Transfer and Transfer Playbook 2.0 project in partnership with the Community College Research Center. In her time at CEP, she has led transfer initiatives such as Tackling Transfer and The Aspen-AASCU Transfer Intensive.
Before joining CEP, Heather served as the Director of the UCLA Transfer Student Center and Director of UCLA College Learning Communities, using strategic partnership and practice to institutionalize supportive policies and practices for underserved student communities.
Heather, a proud community college transfer student, earned an A.A. in psychology from Santa Monica College and transferred to UCLA, where she obtained a B.A. in psychology and an Ed.D. in educational leadership.
