United States
Dr. Amy Bosley serves as President of Northwest Vista College, a comprehensive community college serving more than 22,000 students and one of the fastest-growing institutions in the Alamo Colleges District. She leads with a clear mission: ending intergenerational poverty through education and training.
Under her leadership, Northwest Vista College has strengthened student completion, expanded workforce-aligned programs, and advanced a culture grounded in trust, collaboration, and measurable outcomes. She aligns strategy, budgeting, and talent development to ensure that institutional priorities translate into improved persistence, credential attainment, and post-completion earnings.
Dr. Bosley is leading Vista 2035, an ambitious expansion of the college into a four-campus network centered on academic excellence, access, and post-graduation success. This strategy integrates enrollment growth, facilities development, and program innovation to ensure that students not only enroll, but complete credentials that lead to meaningful economic mobility. Central to this effort is the School of Emerging Technologies and the development of a Center of Excellence in Applied Bioscience and Health Technologies, preparing students for high-wage, high-demand fields in the San Antonio region, including cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
A nationally engaged leader, Dr. Bosley builds cross-sector partnerships that connect education, workforce development, and regional economic strategy. She believes community colleges operate at the critical intersection of opportunity and inequity, and that institutional decisions must consistently expand access, strengthen completion, and improve long-term economic mobility for students and families.
