Dr. Brandon Kosine assumed the presidency of Casper College in May 2025 after serving as interim president during a year of institutional transition. A Wyoming native and first-generation college student, Dr. Kosine believes deeply in the access and success mission of community colleges and in the transformative power of higher education to change the trajectory of students’ lives. He is committed to expanding economic mobility and opportunity for rural and under-resourced students and communities.

Prior to becoming president, he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Casper College from 2018 to 2024. He also served as Dean of the School of Social & Behavioral Sciences and as a tenured psychology faculty member. Earlier in his career, Dr. Kosine held several student affairs leadership roles at the University of Wyoming, including Associate Director for Student Leadership & Involvement and leadership positions in residence life and judicial affairs. His cross-functional experience informs his commitment to aligning academic programs, student support services, and workforce partnerships to improve student retention and completion.

Dr. Kosine served on the Commission for Rural Colleges with the American Association of Community Colleges and is a recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa Paragon Award for New Presidents. He currently serves on the boards of Advance Casper and Central Wyoming Counseling Center and is an active member of Five Trails Rotary.

He earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pittsburg State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Therapist in the State of Wyoming.
