Martha Ellis partners with national organizations, governing boards, and executive teams to strengthen leadership capacity, support strategic decision-making, and advance research-driven innovation to leaders across universities and community colleges. Her work includes coaching, board development, and leadership growth for mid-level and senior leaders. Dr. Ellis serves as Process of Practice at the University of Texas at Austin. 

Over a 35-year institutional career, she held senior leadership roles including president for two community colleges, Interim President and CEO of the Texas Association of Community Colleges, Managing Director of the Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin, and Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs for the University of Texas System. Dr. Ellis is the author of numerous publications, including the books Generation X Presidents Leading Community Colleges and Vision for Opportunity: John Roueche and the Community College Movement.

Her professional service include board roles with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the American Association of Community Colleges, and the American Psychological Association's Educational Affairs Board. She also served as president of the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities. 

Dr. Ellis has been recognized by the U.S. Congress and the Texas House of Representatives for her leadership and contributions to higher education.
