Dina Humble

Dr. Dina Humble currently serves as the Chief Instructional Officer for San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC). Throughout her 24-year career in higher education, Dr. Humble has been a staunch advocate for student success. Dr. Humble began as a faculty member in the Riverside Community College District in California. Upon transitioning from the classroom to administration in 2011, Dr. Humble served as Dean of Social Sciences and Arts at Long Beach City College and Dean of Academic Affairs at Anoka Technical College. She has been active statewide, serving on the California Community Colleges Chief Instructional Officers Board as the Vice President, co-chairing the Association for California Community College Administrators (ACCCA) Mentor Program, and participating on several accreditation visiting teams for ACCJC. At SBVC, she led the college to a successful reaffirmation of accreditation in 2020 as the Accreditation Liaison Officer.

In her various roles, Dr. Humble has fostered equitable environments while focusing on building cultures of inquiry, innovation, communication, and trust. She has been integral to nurturing partnerships with local K-12 school districts, industry and community leaders, and other institutions of higher education.

Dr. Humble holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University, a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Minnesota.
