American Talent Initiative

The American Talent Initiative (ATI) is an alliance of four-year institutions with high graduation rates committed to expanding access and opportunity for talented students from lower- and moderate-income backgrounds. ATI members set goals to increase opportunity for these students, share information about how to strengthen strategies, and leverage lessons from exemplars in the field.

Introduction

The American Talent Initiative (ATI) is a Bloomberg Philanthropies-supported collaboration between the Aspen Institute's College Excellence Program, Ithaka S+R, and a growing alliance of four-year colleges and universities dedicated to substantially expanding opportunity and access for low- and moderate-income students. Since the initiative started in 2016, ATI’s 140 members—all graduating at least 70 percent of their students within six years—have collectively increased enrollment of lower-income students by 18,100.
