New reports reveal that community college, while often regarded as a stepping stone to college, may not always function as expected, with only 16% of students who start there earning a bachelor’s degree within six years. However, research suggests that completing an associate’s degree at a community college before transferring, as well as engaging in coursework during high school through dual enrollment, significantly increases success rates for students.
