Amanda A. Allen, Ed.D. is a seasoned executive leader in higher education, dedicated to student success, institutional growth, and strategic innovation. As the Executive Vice President of Wharton County Junior College (WCJC), she oversees strategic planning, enrollment management, and grants management, driving initiatives that enhance student outcomes and operational efficiency. She also serves as WCJC’s SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, ensuring compliance with accreditation and state regulations.

With a proven record in strategic planning and institutional development, Dr. Allen led the creation and Board approval of WCJC’s Strategic Plan (2021-2025) and Master Plan (2019-2028), aligning long-term goals with academic and infrastructural growth. She also spearheaded enrollment management innovations, establishing the Office of Enrollment Management and the WCJC Student Services Council to improve student access and support.

Her expertise extends to technology leadership, having directed a $1.5 million infrastructure upgrade, significantly improving IT system uptime and expanding virtual learning capabilities. She also initiated the College’s transition to a cloud-based ERP, modernizing and future-proofing institutional processes and data management.

An influential voice in higher education, Dr. Allen has presented at national conferences on topics such as artificial intelligence and student success pathways. With her strategic vision, data-driven decision-making, and student-centered approach, she continues to position WCJC for sustained excellence and growth.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Allen is a devoted wife to Scott Honea and a proud mom to Luke (14) and Regan (3).
