Amanda Smith

Amanda Smith is the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer at Rock Valley College (RVC). She began working at RVC in 2006, when she taught an English as a Second Language class. She has since worked in several areas of the college, including Adult Education, Refugee & Immigrant Services, Career & Technical Education, and Academic Affairs.

She earned her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University. She also has an MS in Adult Education from Northern Illinois University and a BA in English Literature from Northeastern Illinois University.
