Amy Cable is a dynamic higher education leader with nearly two decades of progressive experience in student services, enrollment management, and educational policy development. Currently serving as the Chief Student Affairs Officer at the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS), she has become a pivotal force in expanding educational opportunities for diverse student populations. With a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Memphis, Amy has consistently demonstrated innovative leadership in transforming educational access. Her work spans multiple critical areas, including apprenticeship program development, financial aid innovation, and strategic enrollment management.
She has been instrumental in launching groundbreaking initiatives such as the ""Grow Your Own Teacher"" Apprenticeship program and implementing comprehensive financial aid strategies that support adult learners, veterans, and students from underserved communities. In her current role, Amy leads comprehensive efforts to create flexible, equitable student services across LCTCS institutions. She collaborates closely with various state agencies, including the Board of Regents, Department of Education, and Louisiana Workforce Commission, to develop programs that bridge education and workforce development. Her leadership extends to broadening financial aid services, including support for textbooks, certification tests, and childcare.
A respected thought leader, Amy is actively engaged in national higher education organizations. She is a current board member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). Her professional contributions include serving on the Louisiana State Apprenticeship Council and presenting at numerous national conferences on topics ranging from enrollment management to educational equity.
