Bettina Celis serves as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. In this role, she provides leadership for the college’s Student Affairs division and collaborates across the MCCCD system on academic and student initiatives, strategic partnerships, and is actively engaged in guided pathways, credit mobility, and transfer efforts within Arizona’s statewide and national transfer systems.
A native of Arizona, Bettina brings over 27 years of experience in higher education, having served in several leadership roles across Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Information Technology; most recently as Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs for the MCCCD system. Beyond her role at the college, she serves on several local and national boards, including the National Community College Hispanic Council/Concilio Board of Directors and the AACC Commission on Institutional Infrastructure and Transformation.
As a first-generation college student, she understands education's transformative power for families and communities. Bettina is a passionate advocate for academic excellence, student success, and systemic change rooted in equity.
