Curt Oldfield

Curt Oldfield has served as the President of Spoon River College since July 2012. Previous to being selected as SRC’s President, Dr. Oldfield served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs for Northeast Iowa Community College.  Dr. Oldfield is a first-generation college student and a proud Spoon River College alumnus.  Dr. Oldfield started his career in education by teaching high school agriculture.  As President at SRC, Curt has focused on improving graduation and retention rates of full time and part time students, increasing the number of relevant academic programs, strengthening internal communication, expanding external partnerships and community development, enhancing continuous improvement processes, and developing a sense of belonging for all students and employees. Curt enjoys volunteering in his community, working on his multigeneration family farm, and spending time with his wife and two adult children.
