This report, produced by the American Talent Initiative and College Greenlight, makes the case for how community-based organizations (CBOs) can provide critical assistance to help colleges enroll and graduate more students who come from low- and middle-income backgrounds, are first-generation, and are students of color. CBOs can serve as trusted partners to help students navigate complex application, financial aid, and enrollment processes. “Better Together” showcases the power of collaboration between colleges and CBOs and includes a three-stage partnership framework to help more underrepresented students thrive at selective colleges and universities.
