Kathryn Masterson is a senior writer and editor with the College Excellence Program, where she oversees the development and refinement of the program’s written products. Katie works closely with researchers and field leaders to identify exceptional practices and translate them into compelling content for the higher education field.
Prior to joining Aspen, Katie worked as a journalist, specializing in higher education. She was a reporter at the Chronicle of Higher Education and has written for Inside Higher Ed, WorkShift, the Washington City Paper, and numerous university magazines. She has also worked at the Associated Press, the Chicago Tribune, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Katie holds a B.A. in journalism and political science from the University of Richmond and an M.S. in journalism from Ohio University.
