Dr. Thomas Broxson is a visionary leader committed to making education profoundly accessible and eliminating barriers and inequities in students' educational and workforce outcomes. With a doctorate in higher education leadership from Oregon State University, Tom brings a wealth of academic insight and expertise to his role as Vice President of Instruction at Clover Park Technical College (CPTC). Collaborative by nature, he works across departments and organizations to cultivate partnerships that foster student success.
Prior to his tenure at CPTC, Tom served as the District Dean of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Pierce College, where he spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing student outcomes in collaboration with Achieving the Dream. Drawing from his 17 years as a faculty member at various institutions, including Linn Benton Community College and Pierce College, Tom has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of teaching and learning in higher education.
In addition to his responsibilities at CPTC, Tom serves as a Leadership Coach and Teaching and Learning Coach for the Achieving the Dream network, guiding colleges nationwide in implementing strategies to bolster student success and promote equity. He is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education, and his leadership has been instrumental in driving organizational change and fostering more culturally responsive institutions.
