Dr. Tracie S. Clark began her career at Central Piedmont Community College in 2000 as a member of the faculty; She currently serves as the college’s vice president of strategy and organizational excellence. Dr. Clark taught interpersonal communication, introduction to communication, and public speaking and also served the college as special assistant to the president and through participation in various committees with emphasis on academic advising and awareness, institutional effectiveness, faculty and staff development, and academic policies. In her current role, Dr. Clark supports the college mission by leading the college’s strategic planning, accreditation, compliance and audit and grants teams. She has published articles and a book chapter on supporting adult student success.
She holds a bachelor of arts degree in english from North Carolina Central University, a master of arts degree in communication from the University of Maryland – College Park, and a doctor of philosophy degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. She and her husband, Brock, are constantly amazed by their three children ages 8, 7, and 5.
